Mustangs pull away from Spartans 88-69 on WBDK

Luxemburg-Casco Spartan boys basketball fell to the Little Chute Mustangs 88-69 Monday night in a North Eastern Conference game.  After a slow start to the first half, the Spartans had a four-point lead with just over a minute left until intermission when the Mustangs went on a run including a three-point shot at the buzzer by Justin Job to take a 27-26 lead.

Little Chute stayed hot in the second half opening a 21-point lead before the Spartans made a run but could not get any closer than nine points.  Spartans senior Nathan Coisman led all scorers with a career-high 30 points while Ryan Robillard added 16.  Job lead the way for the Mustangs with 21 points with 15 coming in the second half.  The Spartans (6-8, 8-10 overall) will now travel to Freedom to take on the first place Irish Thursday night.

The next Luxemburg-Casco basketball broadcast will be Saturday as the Lady Spartans will host Marinette in a make-up game.  Matt Piesler and Paul Schmitt will have the call starting at  3:15 pm with the pregame show and tip-off set for 3:30 p.m. on 96.7FM WBDK.  The game audio can also be streamed on DoorCountyDailyNews.com.
