Gibraltar playing tough opponents heading into playoffs

The Gibraltar girls basketball team has faced some tough opponents as of late, but the Vikings have been mostly up for the challenge. The Vikings have gone 3-2 in a stretch that has included Packerland Conference leader Kewaunee and Marinette and Oconto Conference leader Crivitz. Head coach Josh Kropuenske said a stretch where the girls play several tough opponents is ideal for the playoffs ahead.

The Vikings have one more game left to go in the regular season, traveling to Brussels to take on Southern Door. Gibraltar (14-6, 11-4) received the 1-seed in the upcoming WIAA Division 5 Sectional Tournament next week and will face the winner of the matchup between 8-seed Heritage Christian and 9-seed Oakfield.
