The Kewaunee Storm saw their hopes to advance to the Team State Wrestling Championships dashed for the second year in a row in the semi-final round Wednesday night. The Storm fell to the shorthanded Princeton Tigers 37-32. Starting the evening at 182 pounds, Travis Reinke and Paul Wery were able to stake the Storm to an early 10-0 lead. After the Tigers won the next three matches, the Storm captured points in four straight weight classes, anchored by a major decision by Jack Severin. Those would prove to be the final points on the evening for the Storm, dropping the final five matches. The Tigers would almost pull off the improbable in the final, but lost to eventual champion Random Lake. The Storm's season continues this Saturday at the individual sectional meet.
