Winter storm forces short turn around for basketball

Local basketball teams have had to cram a lot of games this week due to recent winter storms canceling school. Many are playing their second game in two nights with some playing three or four games this week just to fit in their schedule before tournament play starts next week for the girls and the following week for the boys.

In girls' basketball, Luxemburg-Casco hits the road to face Oconto Falls, Sturgeon Bay hosts Oconto, and Sevastopol travels to Reedsville.

Boys' basketball action tonight includes Kewaunee hosting Oconto, Gibraltar playing at home against Peshtigo, Sevastopol traveling to Algoma, and Southern Door looking to stay perfect in conference play at Sturgeon Bay. Boys' games start at 7:30 p.m.
