Friday high school basketball action

It was a busy night in high school hoops on Friday with seven games combined between the boys and girls. Here are all the results starting with the girls games:
 
Oconto squeaked out a victory in Sturgeon Bay as the final score was 38-36. The Clippers dropped to 3-19 overall and 3-13 in the Packerland Conference. Their next game will be the final regular season game Tuesday night at Southern Door.
 
Sevastopol picked up a non-conference win at Reedsville 56-46. Zoe Kuehn and Amber Roalkvan each poured in 16 points to lead the Pioneers. Sevastopol improved to 5-17 overall. Their next game will be in the Regionals at Saint Mary’s Springs, tip-off at 7 PM.
 
Luxemburg-Casco improved to 16-4 overall and 14-2 in the North Eastern Conference with a 72-57 win at Oconto Falls. Cassie Schiltz led the way with 23 points. If the Spartans win their final two games Saturday afternoon hosting Marinette and Monday night at Waupaca, they will share the North Eastern Conference Championship with Wrightstown and Freedom. 
 
Boys:
 
Sevastopol picked up a conference road win against Algoma. The Pioneers are now 5-13 overall and 2-11 in the Packerland, while the Wolves dropped to 1-19 and 0-14 in conference play. Algoma’s next game will be at Southern Door Monday night and Sevastopol hosts Gibraltar Monday night. 
 
Gibraltar had to go to overtime to get a home victory against Peshtigo. The Vikings outscored  the Bulldogs 9-6 in the extra period to pick up a 54-51 win. Trevor Reinhardt led the way for Gibraltar scoring 15 points. Gibraltar is now 8-9 overall and 6-7 in the Packerland. Their next game is Saturday night at Oconto, tip-off at 7:30 PM.
 
Southern Door remains undefeated in the Packerland Conference outscoring Sturgeon Bay 65-52 on the road. Kyle Daoust scored 20 points including 18 in the second half. Sturgeon Bay’s Carson Talbert matched Daoust with 20 points to lead the Clippers. Southern Door will host Algoma Monday night and Sturgeon Bay will play a non-conference game at Seymour Monday night.
 
Kewaunee edged Oconto on their senior night 67-65. The Storm improved to 12-7 overall and remain in third place in the conference at 9-4. Kewaunee travels to Peshtigo Monday night, tip-off at 7:30 PM.
