The Gibraltar girls cruised to a victory in the WIAA Division 5 Regionals Friday night. The Vikings beat Oakfield 61-39 behind great performances from Peyton Pluff, Abbigael Sitte, and Kayla Fallingstad. Oakfield suffered a big blow before a second of action was played as their leading scorer Ayrn Uttendorfer suffered an ankle injury in pregame warmups. She later came back to sit on the bench on crutches at halftime. 

 

Gibraltar will play Hilbert on Saturday in the Regional Final at home. Hilbert knocked off Living Word Lutheran 60-41 on their home floor. This will be the second meeting to the two teams this year as Gibraltar opened the season with a 48-40 at home to Hilbert. Peyton Pluff was out for a lot of the game with foul trouble. The Vikings are hoping to not start and end the season in the exact same fashion. This game will air on 105.1 WSBW with the pregame show starting at 6:45 and tip-off at 7 PM.
