Southern Door's amazing streak finally ends

The last time the Southern Door had lost a conference game, President Obama was still in office. The Eagles amazing 40-game Packerland Conference winning streak came to an end on Saturday night on the road against second-place Peshtigo 60-45. Southern Door was led by Kyle Daoust and Maximillian Pierre who each scored 11 points but it was not enough to extend their winning streak. Peshtigo got 16 points from Cade Tackmier. The Eagles will host a regional semifinal game on Friday night.
 
In other boys basketball action, Kewaunee took an “L” when they traveled to Green Bay NEW Lutheran Saturday night. The final score was 83-72 as Ryan Carmichael’s 25 points were not enough to lead the Storm to a victory. Kewaunee will host a regional quarterfinal game on Tuesday night against Two Rivers.
