Hernan Perez drove in seven to help the Milwaukee Brewers earn a 12-1 victory over the Texas Rangers.
Perez did his damage with a first inning, three-run home run and followed it up with a double and a groundout that drove in the other four runs. Jesus Aguilar's sacrifice fly and a single by Orlando Arcia drove in two other runs in the second inning while a throwing error gave the Brewers its final tally in the fifth. The Rangers' Carlos Tocci hit a solo home run in the sixth inning was the lone blemish for a Brewers pitching staff that saw nine take the rubber and struck out that many in the process.
The Brewers head to Tempe to battle the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim this afternoon.
