Tuesday WIAA Boys Basketball Playoff results

Six local boys basketball teams were in action in the opening round of the WIAA Playoffs on Tuesday. Three of those teams are moving on to the regionals while the other three are heading home.
 
Gibraltar took care of Lena 81-41, a game broadcasted on 105.1 WSBW and streamed on DoorCountyDailyNews.com. The Vikings went up big early on and never looked back. Evan Henry and Andras Szakala each scored 14 points to lead Gibraltar. They’ll travel to Florence on Friday night.
 
Two halves of basketball were not enough at Luxemburg-Casco as the Spartans and Green Bay West went to overtime on 96.7 WBDK. West outscored L-C 12-5 in the extra period to advance with an 83-76 victory. Freeman Jackson had a huge game for the Wildcats with 37 points while Ryan Robillard poured in 25 for the Spartans.
 
Sturgeon Bay edged Cedar Grove-Belgium at home 62-59. The Clippers will travel to Denmark on Friday night for the regional semifinals.
 
Kewaunee had no problem with Two Rivers and won by a final score of 75-54 on their home floor. Sheboygan Falls awaits the Storm in the next round on Friday night.
 
Algoma and Sevastopol both fell in their opening round matchups. The Wolves lost to Kohler 63-41 and the Pioneers went to Saint Mary’s Springs and lost 82-60.
