Three home runs Thursday afternoon were not enough to lift the Milwaukee Brewers over the Chicago White Sox in a 9-5 loss at Camelback Ranch.
After a Leury Garcia staked the White Sox with 1-0 lead in the second inning, Tyler Saladino tied it up with a home run in the fifth. The White Sox would come back with four unanswered runs before Manny Pina took advantage of some defensive miscues for an inside-the-park home run in the seventh inning to make it 5-2. The Brewers would tie it up later that inning on a three-run homer. The White Sox would come back in the bottom half of the inning with a Ryan Cordell RBI single and three-run homer by Danny Mendick to take a lead they would not give up. The Brewers return to Maryvale Friday afternoon for a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
