Phoenix land in Detroit for Motor City Madness

The Green Bay Phoenix men and women's basketball teams hope to punch their tickets to the NCAA Tournament with a pair of Motor City Madness victories the next two nights.

The women get things started for the Phoenix with a matinee matchup against Youngstown State. The Penguins and the Phoenix split their match-ups in the regular season with both squads capturing double-digit victories on the road. The Phoenix are looking to punch their fourth straight trip to the NCAA Tournament when they open up Motor City Madness play at 2:30 p.m.

At 6 p.m., the men get their shot to earn their first NCAA Tournament since the Horizon League moved the tournament to Detroit when they face the top-seeded Wright State Raiders. The two squads split their regular season match-ups as well with the Phoenix topping the Raiders in their most recent game at the Resch Center.

Both games are taking place at Little Caesars Arena with potential championship match-ups slated to take place at 11 a.m. for the women and 6 p.m. for the men if the Phoenix win.
