The Milwaukee Brewers hit three homers but also had three errors in a 7-7 tie against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Thursday afternoon.
Travis Shaw's RBI double staked the Brewers to a 1-0 lead that held for two innings until Justin Bour hit a three-run homer to give the Angels a 3-1 lead in the third inning. The Brewers answered with a pair of homers by Christian Yelich and Jesus Aguilar to take a 4-3 advantage in the bottom half of the inning. After the Angels scored two runs in the fourth inning, Mike Moustakas tied the game in the sixth inning. The Angels and the Brewers would trade two-run rallies in the eighth and ninth innings respectively and elected not to try breaking the tie with a 10th inning.
Jhoulys Chacin was named the opening day starter for the Brewers two weeks before they face the St. Louis Cardinals on March 28th. The Brewers host the Padres at Maryvale this afternoon.
