Wisconsin teams still alive for NCAA Tournament

It is not a matter of if but where in the NCAA Tournament field the Wisconsin Badgers and the Marquette Golden Eagles will land after this weekend.

The Golden Eagles opened their postseason up with an 86-54 thrashing of St. John's at Big East Tournament being held at the Madison Square Garden in New York City. Markus Howard led the way with 30 points with two other players chipping in with double figures. The Golden Eagles will face Seton Hall in the tournament quarterfinals tonight at 8 p.m.

The Badgers had to wait through two rounds of byes to get to their quarterfinal matchup at the United Center in Chicago. They will face Nebraska at 2 p.m. after the Cornhuskers toppled Rutgers and a ranked Maryland team in consecutive days.
