The Brewers played a split-squad doubleheader on Saturday and went 1-1 on the day. Milwaukee went to Kansas City and took a loss as they could only muster a two-run single from Jesus Aguilar in the fifth inning. The Royals won 6-2 behind four shutout innings from their starting pitcher Homer Bailey.
The other half of the Brewers hosted Colorado and got a walkoff victory 5-4. Tuffy Gosewisch drove home Keston Hiura in the bottom of the 9th to secure the win. Milwaukee had the lead going to the ninth inning but Jimmy Nelson allowed an unearned run which led to the heroics from Gosewisch. The Brewers are now 12-11 overall in Spring Training play.
