For the first time program history, the Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team will host a postseason WNIT game.
On Monday night, the Phoenix accepted the bid to play against Mid American Conference opponent Kent State after not making the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014 when they last played in the WNIT. The Phoenix could break a four-game winning drought in the WNIT when it hosts Kent State at the Kress Center, a building where they have posted a 134-13 record since it opened in 2007.
The time of the game will be announced later today with the winner taking on the victor in the Butler/Northeastern matchup taking place Thursday at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
