The Luxemburg-Casco girls soccer team hope to hit the ground running this season when it kicks off tonight in Manitowoc.
Its match against Manitowoc Lincoln High School at Ron Rubick Municipal Field will be the Spartans first since falling to Northeastern Conference champion Wrightstown in last year's WIAA Regional. A key to improving on their 2-7-2 is starting stronger in the first half where they were outscored 17-1. The Spartans narrowed the gap in the second half, only be outscored by a 7-4 margin.
Tonight's game begins at 5 p.m.
