Bucks win playoff opener

The Milwaukee Bucks beat the Detroit Pistons 121-86 in game one of the playoffs. The Fiserv Forum was absolutely packed as it was the first playoff game ever hosted inside the building. The crowd was electric from start to finish. It's going to be really tough to beat this team at home during the playoffs.

The Bucks got out to a 38-18 lead after the first quarter. It was finished off by a standing ovation from the crowd to show their appreciation. Giannis led the way with 11 points and six rebounds. Brook Lopez also chipped in ten points to help give Milwaukee a big lead.

It was all Bucks again in the second quarter. They kept their foot on the pedal as they were trying to make a statement in game one. Milwaukee would close out the half 69-43. Giannis led the way with a double-double in the first half. Brook Lopez had 14 of his own.

In the second half, Milwaukee really ran away with it. The Pistons didn't stand a chance. It wasn't even a contest as the Bucks hovered around a 40 point lead for the majority of the time. They would win easily. Giannis finished up with 27 points and 14 rebounds in only 24 minutes.

Milwaukee will now rest up before taking on the Pistons in game two on Wednesday. They will be back at the Fiserv Forum before playing games three and four in Detroit. Tip-off will be at 7 o’clock.
