Yelich homers again, but Brewers can't hold on

Christian Yelich homered for the 11th time in just in his 21st game this season but it wasn't enough to defeat the Dodgers on Friday night. The final score was 5-3. In the bottom of the first Lorenzo Cain led off with a single. Yelich drove Cain and himself home with a home run off Dodgers starter Ross Stripling.

The game was tied at 2 going to the 8th inning. The Brewers dominant reliever Josh Hader allowed two walks and then a three-run home run to Enrique Hernandez. Eric Thames added a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth but that was the last score of the game.

The Brewers have now lost the first two games at home to the Dodgers and three in a row overall. Chase Anderson will start on the mound for the Brewers on Saturday against Hyun-Jin Ryu for the Dodgers. First pitch is at 6:10 PM.
