Brewers get swept by Cardinals

The Milwaukee Brewers lost to the St. Louis Cardinals 5-2 Wednesday afternoon. That would complete the series sweep for St. Louis. Jhoulys Chacin started on the bump for Milwaukee. He went four innings giving up four earned runs. Making it an uphill battle.

Eric Thames was the lone bright spot in the lineup for the Brewers. He went 2x4 with a solo shot in the first inning. He has been swinging a hot bat lately. The rest of the team combined for three hits which will rarely get it done.

Milwaukee will now have a day off Thursday to regroup. Their record now sits at 13-13. They begin a series with the Mets on Friday in New York. Chase Anderson will take the rock for the Brewers. First pitch will be thrown out at 6:10.
