Night 2 of NFL Draft has Packers on the offensive

The Green Bay Packers addressed depth at the offensive line and tight end positions with their second and third round draft picks Friday night. Night two of the NFL Draft saw Green Bay back on the clock with the 12th overall pick in the second round.

Elgton Jenkins was the Packers second-round selection. The Mississippi State center has versatility Green Bay desires. It was said that Jenkins could play any position along the entire offensive line. That may be a stretch but he will certainly give Green Bay stability and center and both guard positions. Jenkins stands 6'4" and weighs in at 310 pounds.

With their lone third-round selection, the Packers selected a tight end at #75 overall. It is the highest the team has taken a tight end since Bubba Franks back in 2000. Jace Sternberger is someone Packers General Manager believes will be a matchup problem down the field.

Sternberger wore #81 at Texas A&M. The number is currently worn by Geronimo Allison. Sternberger is 6'4" and 251 pounds.
