Brewers fall short in series finale

The Milwaukee Brewers lost to the New York Mets 5-2 Sunday afternoon. Gio Gonzalez started on the mound for the Brewers. He spent last season with the team and was just recently signed to add more pitching depth. Gonzales went five innings only giving up two earned runs in his first outing back.

Mike Moustakas hit a two-run bomb in the seventh inning to tie the game up. Aside from that, Milwaukee had a tough time getting hits across from the rest of the lineup. Jacob Barnes would come on and allow two earned runs in the seventh and the game would slip out of reach from there.

Milwaukee will now travel back home to start a series with the Rockies. Their record now sits at 15-14. Zach Davies is scheduled to take the mound Monday. First pitch will be thrown out at 6:40 from Miller Park.
