Gibraltar baseball hosts youth camp on Saturday

The Gibraltar baseball team did not have a game on Saturday but that doesn't mean they took the day off. Saturday was the Youth Baseball Camp at Gibraltar High School where the current varsity players were the instructors. This gave them an opportunity to be leaders after they all participated in the youth camp before high school. Head baseball coach Jay Kita is in his 17th season and this is the 14th year he has run the Youth Baseball Camp. Kita says it has grown tremendously since the very first one.

Kita also talked about what he has liked about his team so far this season and the players that have really stood out.

Kita added he thinks his team will play even better once the weather warms up more. Gibraltar heads to Southern Door for a doubleheader on Monday with game one scheduled to begin at 4 PM.
