Sturgeon Bay was able to score some runs in their two games at Chilton on Saturday but they allowed big numbers in the first inning they couldn't overcome. In game one the Clippers faced off with Chilton who scored four runs in the first inning and 9 in the first three innings. Sturgeon Bay ended up falling 10-3.
In game two, Sturgeon Bay played Hilbert/Stockbridge. Again their opponent put up a big number in the first inning with 6 runs. The Clippers would make it close in the end thanks to a 3-4 day from Trent Ehlers. He had 2 doubles and 2 RBIs. Isaac Berkley also chipped in with a double. The final score was 10-6.
Sturgeon Bay will play another two games on Monday when they travel to Sevastopol for a doubleheader. Game one is scheduled for 4 PM.
