For one day, Algoma's traditional black and yellow will be joined by a shade of green.
The 11-team Algoma Invitational is also being unofficially called the No One Fights Alone Meet. It pays tribute to Algoma's throwers coach Dean Blahnik, who in addition to helping teach future state champions the art of tossing a shot put or discus has been fighting cancer.
In tribute of their coach, Algoma athletes will don bright green socks and invite others to wear their "No One Fights Alone" t-shirts.
The meet, which also features athletes from Sturgeon Bay, Gibraltar, Kewaunee, and Sevastopol, begins at 3 p.m.
