Brewers hold off Nationals

The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Washington Nationals 5-3 on Monday night. Jhoulys Chacin started on the mound for the Brewers and went five innings only giving up two earned runs. It was a quality start but he did not factor into the decision.

Ben Gamel led the way for Milwaukee in the game as he had three hits on the night and scored two runs. Orlando Arcia also had three hits on the night as the Brewers were just able to squeak by the Nationals. Junior Guerra would come in to close down the ninth and earn the save.

The two teams will now run it back for game two of the series. Adrian Hauser is expected to draw the start on Tuesday for Milwaukee and face Stephen Strasburg of Washington. First pitch will be thrown out at 6:40 from Miller Park.
