Algoma hosts track and field meet

Gibraltar, Kewaunee, Sevastopol, Sturgeon Bay and Southern Door all traveled to Algoma for a track and field meet on Tuesday. Luxemburg-Casco's track and field teams were also in action at West De Pere.

 

Kewaunee's boys put up the best performance out of all the track and field teams. They scored 132 team points which was good for second only behind De Pere.

 

Sturgeon Bay placed sixth out of 11 teams with 47 points. Algoma was right behind them at 45 points. Sevastopol finished with 27 points. Gibraltar wound up with 24.33.

 

For the girls, Kewaunee was also the top team among area teams placing third with 73 points. The Storm edged Sturgeon Bay who had 70.5 points. Algoma scored 64 points. Sevastopol was close behind the Wolves with 62.5. Gibraltar had 20 points.

 

The Luxemburg-Casco boys scored 88 points which was good for third out of six teams competing. The girls had 47.5 points.
