Area softball teams go 4-1 on Friday

Four Door and Kewaunee County softball teams played in five combined games on Friday mostly with great success.

 

Algoma picked up a conference road win against Sturgeon Bay 3-1. The Wolves scored two go-ahead runs in the sixth inning. Maddie Prokash was dominant on the mound for the Wolves racking up 14 strikeouts in the complete game. Erin Haese only allowed three runs in pitching the whole game for the Clippers.

 

Southern Door went to Peshtigo and picked up a 5-3 victory. Kendra Dantoin and Melanie Watters each had two hits and two RBIs.

 

Luxemburg-Casco took both games of a doubleheader against Oconto Falls at home. Game one went 4-2 to the Spartans while game two was a more lopsided 5-0 win. Ally Dart picked up the win in the circle in both games.
