The Cubs needed 15 innings on Saturday to finally defeat the Brewers 2-1. Willson Contreras hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 15th to win it for Chicago. Milwaukee's bats just couldn't do much with Cubs pitching. Their only run came on a homer by Hernan Perez in the fifth inning off Cole Hamels. Zach Davies pitched 6 1/3 strong innings and the bullpen didn't allow a run until the home run by Contreras which he hit off of Burch Smith who was in his fourth inning of work.
The two teams will play the rubber match on Sunday night at 6 PM in Chicago.
