Brewers handle Phillies

The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Philadelphia Phillies 6-1 on Tuesday night. Brandon Woodruff started on the bump and had a gem of an outing. Woodruff went six innings strong only giving up one hit while striking out five. Corbin Burnes and Jacob Barnes held it down in the final innings to secure the win.

Keston Hiura, the Brewers’ top prospect, was finally called up and made his first MLB start. He picked up his first MLB hit in the game on a single. Yasmani Grandal and Ryan Braun both went deep in the game to create a little separation.

The two teams will now run it back for game three in the series. Gio Gonzalez will take the mound for the Brewers. Jake Arrieta will have his name called for the Phillies. First pitch will be thrown out at 6:05.
