Baseball, softball hope to get on the field Monday

Despite a couple inches of rain falling across the area over the weekend, area baseball and softball teams hope they are able to get on the field on Monday. It comes after rain wiped out Saturday's high school slate and Sunday's Door County Baseball League schedule.

If games do occur today,  Luxemburg-Casco hosts Pulaski at 5 p.m., Kewaunee travels to Chilton for a 4:30 p.m. tilt, Algoma plays a pair at home against North Fond du Lac beginning at 5 p.m. and Southern Door battles Peshtigo at 5 p.m in baseball.

The only softball game on the schedule is Sevastopol playing Mishicot on the road after eliminating Gibraltar last week.
