Track recap: Kewaunee wins regionals, dozens qualify for sectionals

While dozens of local athletes have at least one more meet this season, the Kewaunee boys track team put an extra exclamation point on it by winning the Division 2 regional title at Wrightstown Tuesday.

 

The Storm had thirteen athletes on the boys team qualify for Thursday's sectional meet, nine doing so in two or more events. Luxemburg-Casco fell just five points short of claiming the boys title as its own with Sturgeon Bay coming in sixth and Southern Door in seventh. On the girls side, Luxemburg-Casco was top local team in the regional coming in third place, followed by Sturgeon Bay (4th), Kewaunee (6th) and Southern Door (7th). 

 

In the Division 3 regional held at Algoma, the Wolves boys and the Sevastopol girls where the area's top performing teams.
