Jim Olson Motors kicked off the 2019 Sturgeon Bay Girls Little League season last night with a doubleheader. The blue squad split the games losing 11-5 to Econo Food in game one and easing past Peil Construction 18-4 in game two. Jalen Luedtke had two hits in the win. Kayla Ranly was the winning pitcher in game two and added two hits.
Addison Schauske was the winning pitcher for Econo Foods and added a double in game one. Ellie Starr had two hits to lead Econo.
The Lions crushed the ball in an 11-1 win over Forbes Wednesday. Sienna Cain and Edin Templin were the Lions leading hitters. Cain also earned the win inside the pitcher's circle. Claire Quaderer and Kadence Patza were the leading hitters for Forbes.
Nicolet Bank held on for a 3-1 victory over Reliable. Leah Schopf and Brynn Schartner were the leading hitters for Nicolet Bank.
