Gibraltar American Legion tops Green Bay Blue Jays

Pitcher Marcus Reinhardt nearly went the distance as Gibraltar American Legion collected the 4-2 win over the Green Bay Blue Jays.

The Blue Jays struck first in the opening frame, but an error on a ball hit by Luke Steebs in the second inning led to a pair of runs. After the Blue Jays responded in the top half of the third inning, Gibraltar would break the tie again when Andras Szakala drove home Alex Laughlin in the fourth inning. Szakala would help add some insurance in the sixth inning, driving home Laughlin again on a second RBI single.

Reinhardt went 6 2/3 innings, striking out three and walking three. Gibraltar returns to action June 18th against Northern Door.
