A pair of home runs was all that it took for the Timber Rattlers to top the Quad Cities River Bandits 3-2 on Friday night. David Fry launched a two-run shot in the top of the third inning to put the Rattlers up by one. In the next inning, Gabriel Garcia sent one over the wall for a solo homer.
That was all the Rattlers would need, as a strong pitching performance from starter Adam Hill secured the victory.
The series continues Saturday at 6:35 p.m.
