The Milwaukee Brewers were able to avoid a series sweep against the Seattle Mariners on Thursday afternoon. The Brewers defeated the Mariners 4-2. All four of the Brewers runs came in the fourth inning. Orlando Arcia drove in three on his eleventh home run of the year. Chase Anderson had a sacrifice to the pitcher to score the other Brewers run. Anderson tossed five innings and gave up one earned run. Josh Hader earned his 19th save of the season. The Brewers will be in action next on Friday evening when the division rival Pittsburgh Pirates come to town.
Later in the day, Christian Yelich was announced as the top vote-getter in the National League in All-Star game voting. Yelich will start alongside the Dodgers' Cody Bellinger and the Braves' Ronald Acuna, Jr. at the All-Star Game being held in Cleveland on July 9th.
