The Milwaukee Brewers kept pace in the NL Central standings Saturday night with its 3-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates thanks to Eric Thames.

After Colin Moran drove in the game's first run in the opening inning, Thames's triple broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom half of the stanza and drilled a home run in the fourth to make it 3-1.

Brandon Woodruff continued his strong season, going 7 2/3 innings with six strikeouts.
