Flying under the radar this summer is Gibraltar basketball, which is trying to build off the success of its first appearance in the sectional round in close to 40 years.
In a tournament held last month in Kaukauna, the Vikings won their pool before falling to Winnebago Lutheran in the championship. Their 4-1 record included wins against Columbus Catholic and Almond Bancroft, two top five teams in the state.
