Brewers claim series over Braves

The Milwaukee Brewers won their first series since the All-Star Break with a 5-4 victory over the Atlanta Braves Wednesday afternoon.

The long ball set the tone for the Brewers early with Manny Pina and Christian Yelich hitting home runs to lead the Braves by three. Keston Hiura and Manny Pina each had RBI hits in the sixth inning to give the Brewers a 5-0 lead. Josh Donaldson tried his best to lead the Braves to victory in the final two frames of the afternoon, knocking in all four runs thanks to a home run and a single. Josh Hader struggled in the ninth, but ultimately got his 21st save of the year to help secure the win for starter Chase Anderson.

The Brewers head west to Phoenix to take on the Arizona Diamondbacks for a four-game series beginning at 8:40 p.m. Thursday.
