Brewers kick off road trip with win

The Milwaukee Brewers got their western swing off on a good note Thursday with a 5-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The game was tied 1-1 heading into the eighth inning when Orlando Arcia broke the tie on a RBI single and was quickly followed by Keston Hiura taking home on a throwing error by the catcher. Arcia was able to score as well in the inning thanks to a sacrifice fly by Jesus Aguilar. Ryan Braun put an exclamation point on the victory with a home run in the ninth. Zach Davies got the win in his 100th career start, allow just five hits and a run in seven innings of work.

The two teams meet up again this evening at 8:40 p.m.
