Saladino slam not enough against Reds

Tyler Saladino's second grand slam in as many days made it close, but the Milwaukee Brewers could not close the deal Monday night, falling to the Cincinnati Reds 6-5.

A Yasmani Grandal double opened the scoring for the Brewers in the third inning, only to see the Reds score single tallies in the fifth and sixth to take a small 2-1 advantage. The Reds' Eugenio Suarez doubled the lead with a two-run homer in the seventh to make it 4-1. The Brewers would take the lead on Saladino's slam in the bottom of eighth, only to see it disappear when Suarez hit his second two-run homer of the game. Jeremy Jeffress took the loss for the Brewers.

The two teams are back at it at Miller Park at 7:10 p.m.
