Brewers lose late to A's

The late-inning magic continued for the Milwaukee Brewers but they ultimately lost to the Oakland Athletics Tuesday night 3-2.

After Yasmani Grandal tied the game at one in the eighth inning on a single, former Brewers prospect Kris Davis got the lead right back with a home run to make it a 2-1 game. Eric Thames tied it up again in the top of the ninth inning with his 15th home run of the season. It was the third time in four games the Brewers were able to tie or take the lead in the eighth inning or later. After the Brewers kept the game tied heading into extras, Matt Olson made sure the home Oakland fans left happy with a walk-off home run against Brewers closer Josh Hader.

The two teams meet again tonight in Oakland for a 9:07 p.m. start.
