Brewers can't save series in Oakland

A late three-run home run cost the Milwaukee Brewers a series win in Oakland as they dropped the final game 5-3 to the Athletics.

Ryan Braun opened the scoring for the Brewers with RBI single in the first inning, only to be answered a couple of innings later on a solo shot by the Athletics' Chad Pinder to tie the score at one. Trent Grisham's sacrifice fly and Ryan Braun's dropped third strike led two more runs in the game to give the Brewers the 3-1 advantage by the seventh inning. With the lead standing at 3-2,  Josh Hader gave up a go-ahead three-run shot to Matt Chapman before yielding a RBI sac fly to give the Athletics the 5-3 advantage.

The Brewers headed back east after the game to face a struggling Chicago Cubs team at Wrigley Field beginning at 1:20 p.m. Friday.
