Brewers drop 3rd straight, look to avoid sweep

The Milwaukee Brewers lost their third game in a row after being defeated by the Chicago Cubs on Saturday, 4-1. The Cubs got out to an early 1-0 lead after scoring in the bottom of the 2nd inning, but the Brewers then tied the game in the top of the 6th inning after a Ryan Braun RBI single. Unfortunately, the tie did not last long; in the bottom of the 7th inning Cubs’ centerfielder, Albert Almora Jr. hit a solo homerun to give the Cubs the lead for good. The Cubs also added a couple of insurance runs in the bottom of the 8th inning. Junior Guerra picked up the loss for the Brewers; while Cubs pitcher Rowan Wick was credited with a win and Craig Kimbrel got his 9th save on the year. The Brewers and Cubs will complete their series on Sunday at Wrigley Field; first pitch is scheduled for 1:10 P.M.
