Packers survive Texans comeback

The Green Bay Packers were able to escape Lambeau Field healthy and with a 28-26 victory Thursday night against the Houston Texans.

Equanimeous St. Brown scored the first touchdown on a fumble recovery in the endzone on a muffed punt. The Texans would return volley in the second quarter on a one yard TD run by Damarea Crockett. Deshone Kizer found Darrius Shepherd on a 14 yard pass to make it 14-7 a few moments later. Tim Boyle threw two third quarter touchdowns with J'Mon Moore and Allen Lazard on the receiving end. The Texans would go on a 16-0 run in the fourth quarter to make the game close, but it was not enough to grab the win.

Starters on both teams played sparingly if at all as getting players out healthy and building depth were the primary goals. The Packers head to Baltimore for its next matchup on August 15th to face the Ravens for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff.
