Sevastopol hosts four-way football scrimmage

Squeeze on in, there’s an extra guest at the lunch table. After Sturgeon Bay’s announcement a couple of weeks ago switching to eight-man football, they have been added to the scrimmage Friday in Sevastopol. The Pioneers host the Algoma Wolves, Gibraltar Vikings, and the aforementioned Clippers. Algoma and Sturgeon Bay are not eligible for the playoffs in eight-man football due to their enrollment size. Sevastopol is the defending champs at the eight-man level. A scrimmage featuring a couple of much larger schools should be a great measuring stick for the Pioneers as they begin their bid to repeat. Algoma defeated Sturgeon Bay in the final week of regular season play in 2018, 44-0, an 11-man contest. The scrimmage will begin at 11 AM.
