The Gibraltar Vikings football team hopes they are able to duplicate the success their basketball team had in Florence earlier this year when they play the Bobcats this evening on 105.1 The Viking. It was February when Gibraltar kicked off their two-day road trip on their way to a sectional berth with a 70-41 win over Florence. The leading scorer in that game, Luke Steebs, will take over for the former MONLPC offensive player of the year Trevor Reinhardt at quarterback for the season opener. New Gibraltar head coach Mike Peck says Steebs has committed himself to being great this season.
