The 2019 volleyball season kicks off for the Algoma Wolves Tuesday afternoon at the Oconto Invitational. The Invitational features five teams and five rounds. Because of the odd number of teams, each round has four teams in action with one receiving a bye. The bye rotates to each of the five teams throughout the evening. Participating in the tournament is Peshtigo, Valders, Green Bay Southwest, Algoma, and Oconto.

The tournament is not supposed to wrap up until late Tuesday so expect results to be posted later in the week. Algoma Athletic Director Dave Robertson was excited about Packerland volleyball this season when interviewed two weeks ago. He expects a lot of talented squads which means prospects for the non-conference portion of the schedule look to be high.
