Gibraltar doubles up Gillett on 105.1 The Viking

The Gibraltar Vikings ran away from the Gillett Tigers in the second half to secure a 52-26 win in their home opener.

It was a seesaw battle in the first half with both teams struggling to put the other away on defense. Luke Steebs had his hand in three first-half touchdowns, including two long passes to Alex Laughlin of 63 and 57 yards.

It was all Gibraltar in the second half as they scored four unanswered touchdowns. Steebs threw for another two touchdowns and used his feet for a third before being lifted for sophomore Sam Lindenburg. He took advantage of his opportunity and found Brandon Stillman for Gibraltar's final touchdown of the evening. Gillett's Derek Block capped off the evening with his second touchdown of the game, a 13-yard pass to Wyatt Herzog.

The Vikings look to make it two in a row when they travel to Suring. You'll be able to listen to that game on air and online at 105.1 The Viking.
