Packers give Kizer the boot

The Green Bay Packers are releasing QB DeShone Kizer, according to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky and Adam Schefter. Kizer was battling QB Tim Boyle for the #2 spot on the Packers depth chart behind Aaron Rodgers. Kizer came to Green Bay in a trade last season with the Browns that saw CB Damarious Randall go to Cleveland. In three games played for the Packers last year, Kizer completed 20 of 42 passing attempts for 187yds and 2 INTs. In this years’ preseason, Kizer appeared in all four games, starting the first two, and went 25 of 45 for 273yds, with 2 TDs and 2 INTs.
