Milwaukee took game two of their weekend series with the Cubs at Wrigley Saturday, 2-0. It wasn’t a traditional shutout though. Milwaukee used five pitchers who combined to allow just six hits. Zach Davies started but did not go deep enough into the game to record a win. The W went to Junior Guerra, his eighth of the season. Closer Josh Hader picked up the save going 1 2/3 innings. Not your traditional shutout.
Milwaukee’s two runs came in the first inning. Catcher Manny Pina singled to center plating leadoff man Ben Gamel and Christian Yelich. The rubber match is Sunday afternoon at 1:20. Milwaukee trails the Cubs by four games in the NL Wild Card race.
